Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth got engaged just a few weeks ago, which, for her family, means wedding bells can't be more than a couple of months away. However, fans are speculating on Joy-Anna's wedding date, and it's much further off than we would've expected.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, Joy and Austin have chosen October 28 of this year to tie the knot. The date is super special, as it will be her 20th birthday.

Several Duggar fan sites have mentioned the date as their chosen one for their wedding, but there's been no official announcement from the family yet. Of course, this would break the family's tradition of waiting no more than three or four months to get hitched after getting engaged.

Joy's older sister Jill once said that the family believes in short engagements in order to help the couple resist temptation, and to stay pure before the bonds of matrimony. "You may not wanna push the wedding date out too far, as those natural God-given desires with too much time between engagement and marriage can make it harder to remain pure," she revealed to Page Six.

But Joy and Austin may be deciding to wait in part because of her age. While it seems like Jill, Jessa, and Jinger have happily settled into married life, they were all in their 20s before saying "I do." On the other hand, Josh Duggar was a still a teen when he wed Anna in 2008, and we all know how that turned out.

Maybe Joy and Austin recognize that there's nothing wrong with taking a few extra months to enjoy hand-holding before they move on to more serious stuff. After all, they'll have their whole lives together -- why rush it?
