Though this little lady is just a princess it sounds like she thinks she's already queen of the castle. Kate Middleton revealed that Princess Charlotte is "in charge" when it comes to the royal family. Perhaps she takes after her great-grandmother in more than just the looks department!

According to People, the Duchess of Cambridge shared this juicy tidbit while chatting with the wife of a Royal Marine commando, comparing stories about their darling daughters while she and hubby Prince William assisted Queen Elizabeth in unveiling a special war memorial Thursday.

"She said that Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge," wife of Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris Burge, Samantha Burge, told reporters.

Ha! You can kind of tell by the 1-year-old's priceless facial expressions -- not to mention her serious pointing -- that she knows exactly what she wants!

Plus, Charlotte probably has her dad, Prince William, wrapped around her finger. From the time she was just a baby, the duke has done nothing but gush about his adorable daughter, even referring to her as a "joy of heaven." No wonder she's the boss!

Burge also shared this sweet bit of royal news, "[Kate said] they are both becoming really good friends, George and Charlotte."

That's nice to hear. As most parents know, siblings who can get along and become friends is such a blessing. Perhaps Charlotte and George are simply following their parents' leads. Will and Harry are quite close, and Kate seems to adore her sister, Pippa, and her brother, James.

Kate always has the ability to put others at ease, doesn't she? She and Burge, a mom of two, had their "mummy chat" following the unveiling of a memorial which honors the servicemen and women and civilians who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Burge was grateful for the chance to strike up a conversation with the princess.

"I wanted a mummy talk. I wanted to talk about something else than [war]," Burge added.

Though it would be tough to pump the princess for more details during an official unveiling, we'd love to hear more about Charlotte's feisty personality. We get the feeling that of the two royal siblings, this soon-to-be 2-year-old is the one who'll give her parents a run for their money. Here's hoping Kate will share a bit more during her next royal engagement.
