Duggar family

The Duggar family is notorious for many things. They're a clan of many people -- including tons of brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. They're a family who documents parts of their lives in front of the camera for all to see. And another thing the Duggar family is notorious for is being a family that holds their faith very close to their hearts.

Here's a look at a few moments that prove the Duggars are all about their Christian faith, no matter what.

2They 'Find Joy' in God Above All Else

One can only imagine how difficult it must be playing out your life in front of the cameras for the world to see. No matter the backlash, the Duggar family is set on seeking and pleasing God above everyone else. Jessa (Duggar) Seewald once revealed she doesn't "look to other people for that validation." As she tells People, "We know who we are and find joy and satisfaction in God."

3The Duggars Focus on Forgiveness

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar once revealed their secrets to a successful marriage that included tips from the Good Book. Ephesians 4:26 says, "'In your anger do not sin': Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry," which is scripture Michelle and Jim Bob apply to their lives. "The closer we each get to God, the closer we each get to each other," the happy couple revealed in a Facebook post. "Don't let offenses build up, but apologize and make things right quickly."

4They Continue to Praise God, in Good Times & Bad

One thing we can all learn from matriarch Michelle Duggar is the art of resilience. Michelle took to the Duggar Family blog in April 2016 to pen "Where God Guides, He Provides! A Note to Mothers," which is a pretty powerful message of hope and praising God no matter what. "I said, 'OK Lord, I will praise you even now! It really is a sacrifice!'" Michelle writes. "So through the tears I began to sing, 'The joy of the Lord is my strength.' In my heart there was a release as if a burden had been lifted."

5The Duggar Family Structures Dating Around Their Beliefs

While certain things like no pre-marital sex are obvious no-nos during the dating or courting period, the Duggars' strict courting rules take things one step further to preserve their beliefs. Papa Jim Bob Duggar created a lengthy courting questionnaire (try 50 pages and possibly counting) for potential suitors to fill out. "The major question, where I spent most of my time was 'tell me about how you became a Christian, how you came to the Lord,'" Jeremy Vuolo once revealed to Counting On producers.

6Serving Others Abroad

Jill (Duggar) and Derick Dillard are starting up their missionary efforts soon that reflect the family's dedication to serving others, both near and abroad. Mission work is a selfless act that some consider a reflection of a true servant's heart. "We are excited to be back to the work our hearts love so much," the couple wrote on their Dillard family blog. "... The Lord has put a deep love and care in both of our hearts for all peoples of the world that they would come to repentance and put their hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ."

7The Duggars Share Faith-Based Inspirational Messages

Whether you feel down on your luck or need a pick-me-up in the inspirational department, you can always count on the Duggars to post a warm message on social media -- often being a verse from the Bible. Here's one they shared in fall 2016.

8They Name Their Children After Religious Figures

While sporting a baby name inspired from the Bible -- or some religious figure -- won't exactly guarantee you a ticket into heaven, the fact that the Duggars make a point to do it says a lot about their family and their faith. From Josh(ua) to John-David; Joseph; Jeremiah; Joy-Anna; Johannah; Israel; Spurgeon; and the newest addition, Henry Wilberforce, the Duggar family is notorious for showing their dedication to God through baby names that reflect influential Christian figures.

9Training to Be a Part of God's Army

Sootechnically, no one in the Duggar family is "training" to be a part of God's army. It is, however, interesting -- and cool, depending on how you look at it -- that Joseph Duggar recently graduated from the Alert Academy that Michelle Duggar says "takes young men and helps build disciplines and character and gives them a motivation to seek God with their whole heart." That has to count for dedication to the cause, right?
