Forget That Biopic -- Here Are 14 Britney Spears Moments Fans Actually Celebrate

For some Britney Spears fans, Saturday night was a little like the Super Bowl. That's because Lifetime aired its unauthorized biopic Britney Ever After, which was basically the addictive, junk-food equivalent of TV for those of us who've followed the pop star's career from Mickey Mouse Club to "...Baby One More Time" and her extremely sad, public breakdown roughly 10 years ago. The main takeaway of Britney Ever After seemed to be that all the entertainer wanted was to fall in love, have babies, and live a normal life away from the constant scrutiny of the public, paparazzi, and -- surely -- the kind of shameless exploitation exhibited by a biopic like this.

Ironic! And the reason that Britney Ever After left plenty of Britney fans channeling Chris Crocker ("Leave Britney alone!!!").

Even though I'm a longtime Brit fan and watched, wanting to relive her relationship with Justin Timberlake and learn more about her breakdown, I feel like there was really no need to turn a klieg light on sores from her past. Especially in such a cheesy, cringeworthy way. (From the lead actress Natasha Bassett's eyebrow-raising Southern accent to the lame-o costumes to the inability to actually use Britney's music, most of the movie was thoroughly laughable.)

Thankfully, Spears is seemingly happier and healthier these days, enjoying a Vegas residency and lots of time with her boys Sean and Jayden James. Fans know this and also realize there were plenty of positive moments from past and more recent Brit history that the Lifetime flick didn't cover, because they aren't sensationalist enough (and they weren't going to make a five-hour movie, obviously).

Here are 14 of those awesome, proud Britney moments the biopic didn't cover but that fans can look back on to celebrate their pop princess.

1. When she hit the late '90s pop scene with "...Baby One More Time" and left us with our jaws on the floor.

2. When she showed up to the 2000 Grammys looking like Marilyn Monroe.

3. When she took the 2000 VMAs by storm, performing "Oops! ... I Did It Again" and "Satisfaction" in the D&G sparkly naked bodysuit (not whatever the heck those hotpants were that Lifetime had Bassett in).

6. When, in 2003, at 21 years old, she made history by tying Little House on the Prairie actress Melissa Gilbert for being the youngest person to accept a Walk of Fame star.
