No day is complete without speculation about the goings on of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and today is no different. After numerous reports about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex potentially moving their family to Africa, there's now talk about Harry, Meghan, and little Archie decamping to the United States.

Could it be true?

Although it's unlikely that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would ever permanently leave the UK, there's a rumor they're looking to spend less time there.

A royal insider told the Sun that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking to move or set up a second home elsewhere -- preferably in the United States.

According to a source: "There's an acceptance that things haven't worked out with the Sussexes full-time in Windsor so they could have a second base in America."

It's unclear exactly what "things haven't worked out ... full-time in Windsor" means, but does this really mean they're leaving the UK? Doubtful.

Lest anyone forget, when Prince William and Kate Middleton first got married, they spent the majority of their time at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, partly to help ease the Duchess of Cambridge into royal life.

Perhaps Harry and Meghan are doing the same and will eventually move back to Kensington Palace? One could hope!

Perhaps the rumor came from the fact that the Sussexes may be spending time in the States in the near future.

It's been reported that the Sussexes will be taking about six weeks off toward the end of the year to relax and spend time together as a family -- and part of this hiatus may be spent in the United States.

"The Duke and Duchess will be taking some family time towards the end of the year, once their diary commitments are done," a source told the Sun. "We are unsure at this time but it will likely be spent between the UK and US." The source then added: “Any further inference on their plans is pure speculation."

Royal insiders have mentioned Meghan and Harry may be traveling to the States for Thanksgiving so Meghan can spend time with her mother, but beyond that, specifics are pretty scant.

Sure, Meghan and Harry will undoubtedly spend more time in the United States than other royal couples, given that Meghan is American, but a permanent or even part-time move seems almost impossible to believe.

After all, if you're a working member of the British royal family, you kind of, you know, need to be in Britain.
