They're headed back! After an extended stay in Arkansas, Jill (Duggar) and Derick Dillard are jetting back to El Salvador to resume their mission work. The Dillards made the announcement, surprising a lot of fans who assumed they'd be staying in the states for the duration of Jill's pregnancy.

It looks like it's official though. Jill posted this adorable photo of 22-month-old Israel waiting for their plane on Instagram, along with a link to her blog.

Jill and Derick are expecting their second son in July, which is why their return to Central America has raised more than a few eyebrows. The developing country is a hotbed for the Zika virus, a disease which has been shown to directly affect fetuses and cause severe birth defects or even death.

Regardless of the CDC warnings however, Jill and Derick have decided to return to the mission field they love so much. They spent nearly a year there before returning home last summer, and apparently couldn't stand staying away for a few more months.

More from CafeMom:

The couple wrote on their blog, "We are excited to be back to the work our hearts love so much. From the early stages of our lives, the Lord has put a deep love and care in both of our hearts for all peoples of the world that they would come to repentance and put their hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ."

They also asked for donations from fans to cover the cost of their ministry, which has been quite the source of contention in the past. Critics have questioned the Dillards multiple times about how they've spent the money that was donated to them, especially as they've spent nearly as much time in the states as they have in El Salvador since announcing their mission.

But anyway ... Jill may be putting her unborn child at risk by spending half of her pregnancy in Central America, but at least she'll be home for the birth. She was in 70 hours of labor and an emergency C-section with Israel in 2015, so we're glad to hear that they plan to come back to Arkansas for baby number two's delivery.

Here's to hoping all four of them stay safe and healthy over the next several months.
