Fans and kindhearted individuals have been praying for Britney Spears's family after terrible news surfaced that Maddie, the 8-year-old daughter of Brit's younger sister Jamie Lynn, was involved in a horrifying ATV accident that left Maddie temporarily trapped underwater on February 5. It's so horrible to think about a child being in such a situation, but thankfully, it looks like things could be taking a turn for the better. Britney Spears shared an update about her niece Maddie's condition that will give you all the feels.

Britney took to social media to ask for prayers earlier this week, resulting in an outpouring of love and support for the Spears family, and has since provided yet another update that's so amazing and heartwarming to imagine.

"We are so grateful to share that Maddie is making progress," Britney writes on Instagram, after the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Department released a statement stating Maddie had regained consciousness. "Thank you all for sending thoughts and prayers our way. Let's all keep praying."

Wonderful news!

My heart is with Jamie Lynn and her family. It's beyond unfathomable for me to ever imagine how she feels right now -- constantly worrying about her little girl's well-being.

I'm so happy to hear Maddie is making great progress that, hopefully, will allow this sweet child to make a full recovery sooner rather than later.

And as Jamie Watson, Jamie Lynn's husband and Maddie's stepfather, hints on Instagram: Believe in miracles.

Thank you to everyone for the prayers. Maddie is doing better and better. Thank y'all so much.
