Fans Worry That Jana Duggar Is About to Get Dumped on Even More

Poor girl! Jana "Cinderella" Duggar was reportedly worked to the bone over the holidays -- and it doesn't look like things are going to get easier for her anytime soon. The Counting On star celebrates her 27th birthday this week, yet she still seems to be stuck at home caring for her younger siblings.

Since Jana hasn't gotten married and started a family of her own yet, she's been relegated to staying on with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, as a stay-at-home-daughter. Which basically means that she helps with the child-rearing and plethora of thankless chores.

Thanks to the patriarchal religion followed by the massive clan, only sons are allowed to pursue a life outside of the home. Women are good for making babies and running the household, and if they don't find their own husbands, they must stay with their parents until they do so. Even if they're almost 30.

Case in point -- Jana had tons of extra chores at Christmastime, from decorating the outside of the family compound to baking the holiday treats to gift distribution for the younger siblings.

Fans are predicting that Jana's roll as a caregiver is about to explode even further, given the rate at which her siblings are procreating. Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald are both pregnant with their second babies, and with Jinger married off now to Jeremy Vuolo, even the family is speculating that they'll have a kiddo before 2017 is out.

Despite her responsibilities at home, Jana hasn't seemed eager to run off with the first available man willing to court her. She's revealed on the show that there have been interested suitors, but no one who has been just right yet.

"It can be tempting, like, 'Oh, I really want to be married,' because in those moments, your siblings that are married and have little ones are going on dates and doing their thing," she confessed. "It's like this weird in-between stage. I'm not a younger one, but I'm not an older, married one with kids ... There have been different guys who have come along and asked, but they haven't been, I don't know, the right one."

As unlikely as it is to happen, we're still hoping for a spin-off in which Jana moves out and starts a life of her own -- sans husband or children. Those things are great of course, but they don't have to be the only path for a female these days.
