Joy-Anna Duggar's 'Date' With Austin Forsyth Gets Some Heavy Supervision

It looks like she's not going to be getting a lot of side-eye regarding keeping her courtship on the straight and narrow. Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth went on a date for his birthday, and their chaperons weren't leaving any room for rule-bending.

The Counting On star announced her courtship with longtime family friend Austin just weeks after her sister Jinger tied the knot with Jeremy Vuolo, and it looks like they're keeping things super strict.

Normally while the older Duggar kids have been out on "dates," the family relies on siblings to tag along with the pre-engaged couple to make sure there's no hanky-panky like full-frontal hugs happening. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar aren't taking any chances though, because they chose to chaperon this date themselves.

They captioned the photos, "Happy 23rd Birthday, Austin!
We had a great time going on our double date with you and Joy this weekend! We are loving the time we are getting to spend with you as you and Joy court, and we are so excited to see what the Lord has in-store for you and our sweet Joy!"

Jinger and Jeremy raised plenty of eyebrows when they were courting last summer and into the fall. While they managed to save their first kiss for the altar, they were much more touchy-feely than either Jill or Jessa were when they were dating their husbands, Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald, respectively.

JB and Michelle may be keeping a closer eye on Joy-Anna since she's younger (she just turned 19) than her 20-something sisters were when they courted, or it could be because Jinger made them nervous. Either way, we just hope that Joy and Austin get enough time for private conversations to see if they're really suited.
