Was this his first campaign stop? Kanye West met with President-elect Donald Trump in New York City this week, fueling rumors that the rapper is eventually going to run for president himself.

Yeezy met with Trump in typical Yeezy style -- the 39-year-old wore a black sweatshirt and sweatpants, along with a new blonde hairstyle. He was also surrounded by his entourage as he entered Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan.

The meeting came two weeks after Kim Kardashian's husband was released from the hospital for extreme exhaustion. According to TMZ, the Secret Service did not consider Kanye's erratic behavior of late as a security risk. An official told the site, "Personal problems that Mr. West is working through does not establish him as a security threat to President-elect Trump."

The two talked for about 15 minutes, but what they said remains between them. For now, at least. No telling if Kanye secretly recorded the president-to-be like he did to Taylor Swift last year. Now that would be a story.

Anyway, Trump and Kanye addressed the crowd after their meeting, with the real estate mogul only commenting, "We've been friends for a long time." When asked what they talked about, he said, "Life, we discuss life."

Kanye added that he just wanted "to take a picture right now." They shook hands and hugged, and Trump wished his potential protégé well: "You take care of yourself, I'll see you soon."

Kanye announced last year that he plans to run for president someday. He's been vocal in his support for Trump, even calling him "f***ing genius" on his Saint Pablo tour.

We're just saying, this could be Kayne's first stop for his 2020 campaign. Crazier things have happened.
