A few notable royals posed for a family portrait, but all eyes are focusing on Kate Middleton, who wore not only an incredible red gown, but also the diamond tiara that was known to be the late Princess Diana's favorite. The Duchess of Cambridge couldn't look more breathtaking in this photo, where she stands next to the very handsome Prince William ... with some other familiar faces.

Standing next to our favorite royal couple at Buckingham Palace are Camilla and Prince Charles, and of course the queen and Prince Philip. It was reported that Will and Kate's little ones were already in bed, and Prince Harry was tending to some other royal business involving his lady love Meghan Markle. (Things are getting serious there!)

Everyone looks incredible. Camilla is in a Bruce Oldfield white gown, while the queen is wearing a lovely white Angela Kelly dress. The men are all sporting knee breeches along with white ties. (How cute is Will!?)

And then we have Kate -- gorgeous Kate. That dress is by Jenny Packham, which may look familiar to those who follow Kate's fashion choices. It's a repeat, worn perfectly here -- and previously at a state dinner last year which hosted Chinese president Xi Jingping. (We love this fact.) Kate doesn't wear tiaras that much, but when she does, it's pure perfection. This one is called the Cambridge Lover's Knot and boasts 19 diamond arches along with swinging pearls. The queen was given this tiara by her mother, Queen Mary. Then later, it was gifted to Princess Diana by Her Royal Highness for her wedding to Prince Charles. After Diana and Charles divorced, the tiara was returned to the royals and then was given to Princess Kate.

We will never tire of seeing a real princess in a tiara, but there is something so much more special about seeing this specific one on Kate. It's absolutely stunning on her, and carries so much meaning, knowing it was a favorite of Will's beloved mother. Perhaps someday, we'll see it on Princess Charlotte.
