Kate Middleton Pushes the Envelope With Sexy Thigh-High Slit Dress

They go low, she goes high -- high slit, that is. Kate Middleton stunned on the red carpet on Thursday in a gorgeous white gown. The catch? The slit on the duchess's gown seemed to be higher than typical royal standards. Hey, with getaway sticks like those, why not?

The duchess was attending the premiere for A Street Cat Named Bob, which was supporting her Action on Addiction organization. Kate stole the show (as always) in a cream Self-Portrait pleated maxi dress that had a high neckline and a crepe skirt with a thigh-high slit. The future queen finished the look with a burgundy clutch and pumps, we well as a poppy brooch. She looked flawless.

At the event, the duchess reportedly spent a good chunk of time with the star of the movie -- Bob, a former stray cat who's owned by British musician James Bowen. Bowen wrote in his 2007 memoir that he was "living hand to mouth on the streets of London" when he found Bob in his apartment hallway. Clearly, Bob, who hangs out with royalty and musicians, is living a much better life than the majority of us.

Kate always looks gorgeous, but it's fun when she pushes the envelope a bit with her outfits. Sure, she's princess, so erring on the side of modesty is appropriate. But at the same time, she's a 34-year-old woman with a killer body.
