Ever wonder what Kate Middleton is really like? Who the woman behind the nude pumps and shiny locks is behind closed doors? Of course you have. Well, now you can rest easy knowing that the duchess is awesome, apparently. In a new interview, British Vogue editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman reveals what Kate Middleton is really like, and yes, you're going to like her even more.

Shulman, who worked closely with Kate for the mag's centenary issue, said that the duchess doesn't take her role and job as a royal lightly. "She's incredibly likeable. She really is. She wants to do what she's doing well, and she's very professional," Schulman told ES magazine. She also noted the differences between Kate and her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. "Diana was more interested in that high-voltage celebrity, that was something she really embraced. The Duchess of Cambridge is prepared to do her bit, but it's not one of the things that she most cares about."

More from CafeMom:

Apparently, Kate enjoys dressing up and never makes a fuss before appearances and events, but deep down, she's a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl. What's important to the duchess most is spending time outdoors and with her children. "She loves her kids and the countryside," Shulman added. "Dressing up, that's a professional side to her. It's a sort of uniform, all those lovely couture costumes."

Shulman's comments pretty much confirm what everyone has always assumed about Kate -- that she's as down-to-earth as it gets and the royal side of her is just a job.

And now we love her even more.
