5 Celebs Who Look Gorgeous With Lots of Wrinkles

Women in Hollywood are forced to age in the spotlight -- and, unlike their movie lighting, that light doesn't hide aging.

I can't really blame the women that have caved and turned to Botox, freezing their faces in a youthful glow. When you're being critiqued over your every flaw, it's like high school all over again (and who wants to be reminded of that journey?). But I highly admire the women that stand against it, allowing themselves to age naturally in the public eye.

I remember when I first saw wrinkles forming around my eyes -- I flipped out and rushed to my nearest drugstore to buy anti-wrinkle cream. That was when I was 24. But, as I get older and more lines appear, regardless of how much cream I slather on at night, I'm learning to embrace them. Do I want to look 50 when I'm 30? No, and hopefully because I've taken care of myself, I won't. But I also am not going to rush and get Botox to prevent any aging that may show itself. Our wrinkles are our stress lines, our laugh lines, they're our sad lines, and our happy lines. As Julia Roberts once so perfectly put it, "They're the story of our lives, and it shouldn't be a story about your drive to the doctor's office."

Here are five gorgeous women who have embraced their laugh lines:

Diane Keaton

In my opinion, at age 64, Diane Keaton is one of the most gorgeous women in Hollywood. Not one of the most gorgeous over 60, one of the most gorgeous out of all the women in Hollywood. She has aged so gracefully that I think she actually looks better with gray hair and wrinkles.

Julia Roberts

I liked Julia Roberts before, but after reading her interview this past summer in Elle, she pretty much became my #1 girl crush. “It’s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don’t even give themselves a chance to see what they’ll look like as older persons. I want to have some idea of what I’ll look like before I start cleaning the slates. I want my kids to know when I’m pissed, when I’m happy, and when I’m confounded."

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet has never been afraid to show off her imperfections, even going as far as requesting movie poster designers to not make her look perfect. "I’d rather be the woman they’re saying, 'She’s looking older' than 'She’s looking stoned.'"

Julia Ormond

Julia Ormond has been criticized for looking older than she really is (she's 45), but she has still held her ground on her no-Botox principles. And we think she looks fabulous.

Rachel Weisz

Rachel Weisz is so against Botox that she think it should be banned for actors. "It should be banned for actors, as steroids are for sportsmen. Acting is all about expression; why would you want to iron out a frown?"
