Mom life is hard sometimes. Like when you're potty training. So it's no wonder that Jessa (Duggar) Seewald took to Instagram to share her struggle over toilet training her 3-year-old son, Spurgeon, and ask other moms for some advice. And because she's a member of the Duggar family, of course she got mom-shamed for sharing a relatable parenting moment on the Internet.

The Counting On star shared a couple of videos on her potty-training adventure with her eldest child over the weekend.

In one of them, Spurgeon has clearly peed his pants, and Jessa asked him what happened. "My pants leaked again," the tot hilariously replied. Sure, Spurge, that's exactly what happened. Your pants leaked. Jessa then said, "It's called you went pee on yourself. You were just on the potty two minutes ago and we couldn't get you to go and you couldn't go. Why did this happen?" The 3-year-old did not have an answer to that.

Jessa also asked other parents for advice on how to accomplish this daunting potty-training task. She explained that she's using Nerds candy for prizes and setting timers, but she's not sure she's doing enough.

Some people chimed in with great advice, but others just had to tell her that her child will hate her someday for this.-placeholder

Really? He's 3. If he needs therapy about this someday, then that's an issue with him, not his mother. Normal human beings shouldn't be embarrassed about peeing on themselves as a toddler. We all did it. It's normal. Our parents probably swapped stories about it, because you know, they wanted to inject some humor into it and connect with other people through a relatable experience.

One person even thinks Spurgeon might be unemployed and single forever because his mother shared his potty-training accident.-placeholder

Doesn't Jessa understand that potential bosses and girlfriends might see this video of him peeing his pants at 3 years old someday? What was she thinking? This could ruin him completely. Obviously.

Thankfully, there were more than a few people willing to defend Jessa.-placeholder

It's nice to know that most people are pretty reasonable and understand that it's not embarrassing as an adult to have wet your pants at age 3.

Jessa is in the weeds of parenting little kids right now, and thanks to the Internet age, she has the ability to reach out to other parents in a new way to share her experience and ask for advice. There's nothing wrong with that.
