Why You Won't See Prince George in Pants Anytime Soon

There's no doubt that he's one cute kid. But have you noticed that Prince George seems to have a certain old-fashioned style? And that he never wear pants? It turns out there might be a reason why Prince George only wears shorts.

It seems as though pants on little boys is considered bourgeois among the upper crust in Britain. Etiquette expert William Hanson described the pants-on-boys phenomenon as "suburban," which of course would never do for Prince William and Kate Middleton's firstborn.

Hanson explained that Kate not only has to worry about her own attire, but also her children's. The trick for the Duchess of Cambridge is apparently finding the "balance between royal tradition and heritage and more proletariat customs, such as the 'suburban' habit of making young boys wear trousers."
