A force to be reckoned with in the '90s, Dion embodied pure talent. The singer took a more classic approach to '90s music over the  bubblegum images popular in the decade. The French Canadian singer made a name for herself in 1992 when she recorded the hit for Disney's animated classic Beauty and The Beast. The song won Dion both a Grammy and an Academy Award. She married her much older manager, Rene Angelil, in 1994.

Morissette's album won multiple Grammys, including Album of the Year. The star's grueling tour schedule eventually took a toll and she took a break from the biz.
