Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Dish About Baby #2

We've been on bump watch for what seems like forever now, but Derick and Jill Dillard are finally coming clean on their plans for baby number two. In a new trailer for the second season of Counting On, Israel's parents discuss their procreation plans, and it isn't what we were expecting at all.

Given that Jill gave birth to Izzie well over a year ago, and her family's notorious "quiverful" approach to family planning, we were sort of expecting a second pregnancy announcement by now.

Then again, the Dillards are serving as missionaries in El Salvador, which, as Derick points out in the show's preview, is a dangerous place to live and raise children. Since there's also a high risk of Jill's contracting Zika while pregnant (which can lead to severe birth defects or even fetal death), we also wouldn't have been surprised to hear that these two have put baby-making plans on hold for the time being.

But they opened up about it in this new clip, and confessed that they see themselves becoming parents again -- and soon.

"We are hoping to have a child in the near future," Jill confesses on camera, while Derick chimed in, "I bet we'll have another kid by next year."

Does that mean they're going to move back to the states, or are they going to throw caution to the wind and go against CDC recommendations that pregnant women or those trying to become pregnant shouldn't travel to infected areas like Central America?

While we would love for Jill and Derick to have another little cutie-patootie like Israel, we hope that they've thought it through carefully, and do everything possible to stay healthy.
