Real Beliebers Shouldn't RSVP to the #JustinDeactivatedParty -- Sorry Not Sorry

Justin Bieber and Girlfriend, Sofia Richie

If you shout the name "Justin Bieber," you're likely to get a variety of reactions, but without a doubt you'll get a good handful from those who detest the guy -- mostly based on his reckless buffoonery a couple of years back. And truthfully, it's just not fair. People still love to hate him for that phase. In fact, I'm willing to bet that a great majority of these OG haters are the people behind the #JustinDeactivatedParty that began when the Canadian pop star deleted his Instagram account. When it's all said and done, this could have all been prevented by fans -- or, as I prefer to call you all, STANS -- if you were acting like true Beliebers. Seriously.

Just days ago, Bieber took to his Instagram to warn fans that they should stop being mean to his rumored new girlfriend, model Sofia Richie (who turns 18 next week and, fun fact, is Lionel Richie's daughter), essentially insisting that if they were true fans, they'd love her because he loves her.

He even went as far as sending out a photo with a caption that read, "I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate."

By no means is it new for fans to indulge in the lives of their favorite celebrities, or even have an opinion about the type of life they think these celebs should be living -- and this especially holds true when it comes to who these fans' icons-of-choice are dating (or just hanging out with). And for Beliebers, Selena Gomez is the chosen one. No matter how much time passes by, it's the one relationship everyone hopes can be fixed.

So needless to say, it didn't much help matters when Selena added her two cents and advised Bieber to stop posting pictures of his girl, as those moments are meant for the couple and the couple alone (it was a bit hypocritical and selfish to say, as the singer herself later pointed out).

But the truth is the only one who is right in this whole thing is Justin! Not Selena, and certainly not fans. I can understand why all the haters hate Justin Bieber and begin parties when his presence is no longer an issue on certain social sites. However, after all that Justin went through, if you aren't just plain old tired of all the back and forth, you should really just be happy that the guy found someone who seems to bring joy to his life -- if you call yourself a fan, that is.

You cannot claim to love and care about someone, celebrity or not, and then completely sh*t on his or her relationship with hateful and distasteful words. I mean, would you do that to a friend? Probably not.

By no means am I telling you that you must approve of whatever the relationship is. I'm just telling you that not only is it generally not your place, but loving him means you get a packaged deal that includes whoever he's loving on.

And while I'm no STAN, I happen to find JB's Instagram presence quite amusing and I won't be attending the #JustinDeactivatedParty. So to fans, I'll tell you what my mom would tell me in this situation (and a few others): "You better stop acting like a little spoiled brat and get in there and fix this sh*t. NOW.

What the hell are you waiting for? Go make this right, Beliebers.
