14 Celeb Twitter Feuds That Had Us Refreshing Our Feeds on the Regular

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Taylor Swift

Just like in the real world, Hollywood A-listers are subject to cliques, bullies, and faux friends. Most of us everyday folks don't use a social media platform to broadcast our squabbles (and not many would care if we did) -- but it seems like celebs are prone to broadcasting their most embarrassing (read: lackluster) comebacks and tantrums for the world to read. It's perhaps even safe to say that these celeb feuds make the Hollywood world go 'round.

Some of them are real and some of them are major PR ploys -- but all of them are entertaining and have prompted fans to take sides and declare allegiance to Team So-and-So. So with that said, we rounded up your favorite celebrities who duked it out via Twitter at one point or another and gave us these 14 unforgettable feuds. (Hint: Taylor Swift is involved in a fair share.)

  • Taylor Swift & Kim Kardashian

After Kanye West released his song "Famous," many from Taylor's #squad were ready to dagger the rapper for the infamous lyric: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b*tch famous." And while Kanye took to Twitter to defend himself, claiming that he had discussed the song in advance with Swift, it was his wife, Kim Kardashian, who dropped nothing but receipts on Snapchat shortly following her GQ interview.

In the snaps, you hear Taylor Swift giving approval to Kanye's releasing of the song -- yep, the Kardashian-West family got just about every word on camera, and it dropped quite a few jaws. Even with proof, Taylor (and her squad) fired back, claiming that she didn't approve of being called a b*tch, but frankly, I'm calling bullsh*t. And, in the end, no matter how oblivious and innocent Tay (who slammed Kim and Kanye) tries to be, we're all (Kanye included) thankful for Kimmie's Snapchat that was able to shed some light on the truth.

  • Joan Rivers & Rihanna

The late Joan Rivers graced us with tons of laughs, but this time she took it too far, calling singer Rihanna an idiot for still having feelings for Chris Brown after he violently beat her. While many may believe it was just playful banter from the comedian, physical abuse is clearly not an issue to joke about, especially with the incident still being so fresh. Despite the ugly joke, Rih didn't slam back too hard.

  • Katy Perry & Taylor Swift

The long catfight between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift has only ever been confirmed by snarky-ass subtweets and questionable interviews -- particularly the interview that resulted in this tweet. In said interview, Swift admitted that her song "Bad Blood" was in fact about another celebrity who was once a friend but double-crossed her (and is now a foe).

At this rate, I'm more convinced than ever that Katy is somewhere living under a palm tree, as she's low-key the queen of shade when it comes to Taylor. I mean, even when she stirs the pot, as she did recently in the aftermath of Taylor and Calvin Harris's breakup, she does so with unrivaled subtlety.

  • Nicki Minaj & Taylor Swift

This was mostly Taylor's guilty conscience (or oversized sense of self) at work, as Nicki Minaj made it clear that her own tweets expressing her disappointment for being snubbed by the MTV Music Awards weren't directed at Tay. Instead, Nicki said (multiple times) that her messages were directed at the industry. Many jumped to Minaj's defense, calling Swift out on her unaware and naive attitude. Sorry, Tay-Tay, but it's time to take the rose-tinted shades off and become a bit more aware of someone other than yourself.

  • Amber Rose & Kanye West

In typical Kanye style, he took to Twitter to make some very Kanye-esque (read: rude and egotistical) comments about how rapper Wiz Khalifa allowed a stripper (ex-wife Amber Rose, who is also Kanye's ex-girlfriend) to trap him. He even took his arrogance up a notch, claiming that the couple wouldn't have their child Sebastian had it not been for him. Sure, Wiz came for Kanye, but duly note that there's no clapback like that of a mother. So, I don't have to tell you that Amber Rose came out swinging with a vengence when she got wind of the BS that West was saying about her child. After a blow to his ego, Kanye deleted all his tweets directed at Rose's ex-hubby and finalized the discussion in defense of his a**hole -- which was so not necessary because no one cares about what he does down there. Not. One. Bit.

  • Meek Mill & Drake

In the hip-hop industry, it's far from uncommon for rappers to be on a track together one day and feuding the very next. That seemed to be the case with rappers Meek Mill and Drake after this tweet went out to the public. However, Drake came back unexpectedly strong with his diss record "Back to Back" featuring jaw-dropping lines like "is that a world tour or yo girl's tour?" -- referring to Meek's level of fame in comparison to girlfriend and hitmaker Nicki Minaj's.

Not only did Drake's song go on to become the hip-hop community's 2015 summer anthem, but it was also nominated for a Grammy. Sorry, Meek.

  • Zayn Malik & Louis Tomlinson

When Zayn Malik's former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson continued to throw the utmost shade at music producer Naughty Boy, Malik intervened with one quick and powerful blow -- shutting Tomlinson down. These two were allededly close, so here's to hoping that they can get past all this "bitchy" back and forth.

  • Donald Trump & Russell Brand

Our lovely presidential candidate -- who enjoys pounding the pavement of NYC (not long walks on the beach), crushing the hopes/dreams of many, and bullying people in his free time -- felt the need to comment on Brand's appearance on The Tonight Show -- declaring that he was a "loser" via Twitter. (Did you think he just saved this stuff for presidential Twitter commentary?) Russell Brand jabbed back at the comments and finally defeated Trump after many attempts with this tweet: "I don't think your daddy left you any witty ripostes, and everything you have you inherited."

  • Ariana Grande & Bette Midler

This wasn't a matter of back-and-forth as much as it was a mic drop moment for singer Ariana Grande. This tweet came after Bette Midler alluded to the fact that Grande might be making "a whore out of herself to get ahead." But, after Grande shut her down on Twitter by displaying a photo of a young Midler dressed in a more provocative getup, what more could Midler do but chalk her comments up to age old wisdom?

  • Conan O'Brien & Madeleine Albright

Madeleine Albright simply walked in, took the mic from Conan, and then dropped that sh*t when he proposed a "slutty" version of the former secretary of state as a Halloween costume. Fortunately, comedians are likely used to having sh*t dished back out, so this incident never turned into an actual feud but more so a funny quip or two

  • Khloe Kardashian & Amber Rose

As we're finding out, Khloe Kardashian loves to jump into beef that's just not hers to begin with and then say it's in the name of family -- frankly, I believe she simply enjoys being messy. Nonetheless, here's her attempt to defend Kylie Jenner from Amber Rose's (real as hell) comments about Kylie's then-new relationship with rapper Tyga. And, just when Khloe thought that pettiness won -- Amber came and conquered, dropping even more knowledge.

  • Skai Jackson & Azealia Banks

Wannabe rapper Azealia Banks is known quite well for her buffoonery on social media, but she took it to a new level when she lashed out at 14-year-old Disney star Skai Jackson -- who initially only insisted that Banks "simmer down" with her swipes at Zayn Malik. When Banks got wind of the teen's tweet, she pounced back, replying: "and you need to grow some hips and start ur menses. stay in a child’s place."

From that point, the two unleashed madness onto Twitter and the world watched as Banks was completely demolished by said child (as in this tweet here) and in utter disbelief that a grown-ass woman would go toe-to-toe with her to begin with. Eventually Azealia's account was suspended after she rebutted with awful comments like:

You know they don't like girls your color. Enjoy while it lasts. ... ur mom's been pimping you out to disney since you were a lil girl. lets see what you end up like at 21. bye!

And, seriously -- we're all grateful.

  • Rihanna & Ciara

This snarky tweet comes right after Ciara discussed an unpleasant run-in with Rihanna on Fashion Police. Rihanna followed it with another questioning the singer's "gangsta." No one can understand why Rih would ever be so upset by something so minor (in the grand scheme of celeb feuds), but she was. And she undoubtedly met her match in Ciarawho fired back with a warning tweet -- basically letting Rihanna know she ought to steer clear.

  • Nicki Minaj & Farrah Abraham

After watching an episode of Teen Mom, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to call out Farrah for being a "c**t" to her mother. The rapper then went on to joke about the reality star with fans. Although Nicki was just commentng as any other viewer would during the show, her star status prompted Abraham to take her up herself
