Jill Duggar Responds to Criticism About Her 4-Year-Old Son Israel
We've seen the Duggar fam get a lot of criticism for their parenting decisions, and now, Jill Duggar is finally responding -- probably because it's personal, as it has to do with her 4-year-old son, Israel. Counting On fans commented on Israel's teeth in a post Jill shared on Instagram, and now, she's speaking out about them for the first time.
It all started when Jill shared this photo of Israel from when she took the boys to the library.
Cute kid hanging out at playtime, right? Except upon closer look, it seems like there might be something wrong with Israel's baby teeth ... uh oh.
For a long time, fans have been pointing out that there's something up with Israel's teeth, and this time was no different.
And one fan asked her point blank what happened -- even though the comment was a bit rude.
We can think about a dozen ways to show concern for Israel's teeth in a more tactful way, but hey -- this is what the commenter went with. It's a photo of a kid having fun at the library. Is it really that serious?
But anyone who follows Jill on Instagram knows that this is something her followers have been bringing up for a long time, and apparently, this is the comment that finally got her to speak out about it.
Jill kept her explanation about Izzy's teeth short and simple.
So there we have it, ya'll -- Jill is paying attention to her kid's health, and even took him to a dentist about it. Is everyone satisfied?!
Poor Israel. Whatever happened to damage his teeth obviously didn't faze him (he does seem like a pretty rough-and-tumble little boy), but we hate that he has to deal with it at all. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like it keeps him from having fun or eating yummy foods, which is important.
We hope this finally silences the haters.
As far as we can tell, Jill's a good mama who really loves her kids, and that's what matters most.
Besides, these are baby teeth we're talking about -- there's a good chance that Israel's adult teeth will come in and be just fine. And if not? Well, that's something she'll have to take care of down the road.
Don't sweat it, Jill. We're rooting for her!
