Bold move! On Thursday, in an effort to show how quick and easy it is to be tested for HIV, Prince Harry took an HIV blood test, and broadcasted the event live on the royal family's Facebook page. (Spoiler alert: He's negative.) The prince is being applauded for his daring move, which was called "a groundbreaking moment in the fight against HIV" by Terrence Higgins Trust, a charity that campaigns on AIDS and HIV issues.

Prince Harry was cool as a cucumber while receiving the test. "It is amazing how quick it is," he said, adding, "So whether you're a man, woman, gay, straight, black, or white -- even ginger -- why wouldn't you come an have a test?" He has a point. Here's Harry's test, for anyone interested in seeing:

For many, the video immediately brought back images of Princess Diana bringing awareness to the disease in the 1980s and attempting to remove the stigma associated with AIDS and HIV.

In addition to the test, the spare heir will fly to South Africa next week to attend the 21st International AIDS Conference, where he'll share the stage with his late mother's dear friend, Elton John. Talk about following in Diana's graceful footsteps.

He may like to party, but Prince Harry takes his charity work very seriously. Hopefully, this gesture will show people how quick and painless -- and life-saving -- this test can be. If a member of the royal family can make time for something like this, so can everyone else.

Nice work, Harry.
