Watch National Treasure Betty White's Epic Reading of Queen Latifah's 'U.N.I.T.Y.'

Betty White

With all the tension in America these days, it's no secret that we are all in dire need of some comic relief. So with that said, it's nearly a fact that there's no one able to unite us in a bout of laughter quite like the lovely Betty White. At 94 years old, she still knows how to get the crowd all revved up. And she did just that as viewers watched her video honoring Queen Latifah (one of four female honorees) during the 2016 VH1 Hip Hop Honors. How exactly did this queen of comedy honor the hip-hop queen? She gave a "dramatic" reading of Latifah's song "U.N.I.T.Y."

White began her reading with the powerful line, "Who you callin' a b*tch?" And she then proceeded to recite: "I walked past these dudes, when they passed me one of 'em felt my booty. He was nasty. ... Since he was with his boys he tried to break fly -- ha, I punched him dead in his eye."

They don't write songs (or make national treasures) quite like this anymore, indeed. You have to see it for yourself.

While some may have found it random that Betty White helped pay homage to Queen Latifah, I'm more than convinced that their time filming Bringing Down the House brought them together. Let's be real, who wouldn't want to be friends with White? She's a comic genius! Although frankly, I'm not even sure if her universal appeal has more to do with her being so adorable and reminiscent of our own grandmas. America can't help but love that woman!

But, whatever it is, we can't get enough of the her, whether she's somberly rapping Queen Latifah, dancing to Lil Jon -- or getting all nostalgic about St. Olaf.
