Prince William & Wimbledon Winner Andy Murray Bond Over Sleepless Nights

Prince William & Princess Kate WimbledonWhether you're the parent of a boy or girl, one thing most new moms and dads have in common is sleep deprivation -- and, apparently, even royals feel the strain. Prince William congratulated Wimbledon champ Andy Murray and the two bonded over lack of sleep as the future king of England took a moment to marvel at how the athlete emerged victorious considering he has a newborn at home.

According to People, the Duke of Cambridge was overheard telling Murray, "Congratulations, I don't know how you manage it with no sleep," and inquired, "How is your daughter doing, alright? Is the family good?"

We love how family always seems to be in the forefront of William's mind. Perhaps he'll even orchestrate a playdate between his adorable daughter, Princess Charlotte, who just turned 1, and Murray's 5-month-old little girl, Sophia.

But back to the prince's observation, just how did Murray train with a baby in the house? He reportedly told William she's a good sleeper, now, though he admitted the first three months were "tough." Oh, we've been there, Andy!

Even if he and his wife, Kim Sears Murray, have plenty of help, a fitful newborn doesn't really allow anyone to get much rest. It's great to hear that his little one is giving the new mom and dad a chance to catch up on some shut-eye.

It's sweet to think of these two doting dads talking about their little ones, especially at such a historic moment for Murray -- it's not every day you win Wimbledon and meet a prince.
