Kate Middleton & Prince William Move into Princess Diana's Old Flat

We will never be sick of the various ways in which Princess Di's sons continue to carry out her legacy. Prince William and Kate Middleton are moving into Diana's old apartments at Kensington Palace, and we have no doubt that she'd be so proud of how they're planning to use it.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their little ones Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will be living in Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace, after spending three years in the country at Anmer Hall.

But it's what they're doing with Apartment 8 that would really make Princess Di proud. It's the living quarters where she raised Will and Prince Harry, and now the royal brothers (along with Kate) are planning on making it the headquarters for their combined charitable work.

It's such a fitting tribute considering how much of her life Princess Diana devoted to charity. Will, Kate, and Harry -- who are collectively known as The Trio -- have also made it their goal to contribute as much as possible to those in need, so we can't imagine that Diana's old apartment could serve a better purpose.

Royal author Ingrid Seward explained to the Daily Mail, "It makes total sense. They have two lovely new reception rooms which are great spaces for them to have meetings and officially entertain. One of the rooms was the drawing room, which overlooks the rose garden and outside courtyard and was at one time connected to the dining room. The other room was a TV and sitting room."

Of course the rooms will be repurposed for Will, Kate, and Harry to continue carrying on Diana's legacy, but we couldn't imagine a better use for her old living quarters.
