What the Heck Was Kanye West Thinking With His 'Famous' Nude Video?

kanye west It's starting to seem that Kanye West is a little obsessed with Taylor Swift, or at least the fame surrounding her. And we get it -- she's absolutely one to watch and often takes fun summer pics with adorable inflatables. But Kanye West's nudity-filled video for his song "Famous" may have gone a bit too far. It features a naked Swift in bed with Kanye, Kim Kardashian, Donald Trump, and a few others. What is going on here?

Warning: Nudity in the video below. NSFW.

The list of celebrities (or their likenesses) in bed with the Wests for the video include Swift and Trump (so weird!) with Ray J (Kim's ex whom she had a sex tape with), Kayne's ex Amber Rose, Kim's step-parent Caitlyn Jenner, and Bill Cosby, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Anna Wintour, and George W. Bush. Strange bedfellows indeed. We believe some of these people are really there (maybe?) while the others are some kind of wax figure. A lot went into making this -- a lot of money and time.

It's like a who's who of controversial people in this bed and that's exactly what Kanye wanted -- people who are well-known for all kinds of things. Rihanna also lends her voice to the song. And in those lyrics, Kayne says: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex" and he claims he made that "bitch" famous. Yeah, you remember the song, but now the video is taking it all one giant step further. Tay wasn't happy about those lyrics, naturally, so all signs point to her not being thrilled about this nude likeness of her either.

We need to note that the visual of all the people in the bed was inspired by artist Vincent Desiderio's 2008 painting "Sleep." Kayne clearly handpicked those he wanted featured in his version and he is quick to mention that he isn't making a statement in support or even against any of his bed mates; he simply wanted to comment on fame. And what a comment it is.

It's a major statement. And while artists do what artists do, I would feel violated if I was one of the famous someones in this video who was put in without knowing. Especially Taylor, especially with all the beef between them already. I suppose that's the price of fame, but I can't help but wonder if the tables were turned, if Taylor put Kanye's likeness in one of her videos naked, what would he do about that? Lawsuit? Angry Twitter rants? Insults?

It seems likely we'll hear from Taylor or her lawyers and supporters in the coming days regarding this. I'm assuming everyone is still picking their jaws up off the floor. But Kanye sure did what he set out to do with this video -- people want to see it and we all want to talk about it. Fame.
