Jessa Duggar Catches Heat for Taking Advantage of the System

Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald make an appearance at the Southern Women's Show in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Uh-oh. Looks like we have another Duggar "controversy" on our hands -- only this time, you might laugh and roll your eyes. People seem to be upset because Jessa (Duggar) Seewald admits her family took advantage of freebies in the past, in efforts to save money.

Well, if you had 19 kids, wouldn't you?

Taking to her Seewald Family blog to celebrate Jim Bob for Father's Day, the 23-year-old new mom revealed the Duggars utilized restaurants' kids-eat-free policies.

... for the special times when we went out to eat. (Yes, we most definitely took advantage of kids-eat-free ... the modern day policies of  '2 children per paying adult' probably happened because of us??)

Needless to say, there are some who feel the Duggars are freeloading and taking advantage of the system.

It's very understandable why people might side-eye such a large family for going after freebies. After all, there are folks out there who do abuse the kindness of others. Whether they bring their own to-go containers to all-you-can-eat establishments or eat up a buffet without consideration for others even getting a single plate of food, it happens -- more frequently than we think.

But that's not the same as a large family dining in a restaurant with a kids-eat-free policy, especially if there weren't any restrictions in place.

If you give a family (especially a large one) the option of receiving something free, guess what? They're gonna take it. Hell, a single person without children would likely jump at the thought of saving a buck.

There's no crime here or shady behavior -- and this certainly doesn't need to be turned into a great debate about how many children a person should have, just because they choose to participate in a company's special.

Let's all just chillax.
