Prince William Makes Royal History by Appearing on the Cover of LGBT Magazine

Prince William This royal is making history for a great cause. Prince William will appear on the cover of LGBT magazine Attitude and is speaking out against homophobic bullying and encouraging young gay, lesbian, and transgender individuals to be proud of who they are.

William, his wife Princess Kate, and his brother Prince Harry have been wonderfully active and outspoken when it comes to matters that impact the mental health of children and young adults, so this cover shot and Will's concern should come as no surprise to loyal royal fans.

In an interview with People, Attitude editor Matthew Todd spoke of William's ability to put everyone at ease. He noted that the prince was truly listening and concerned as the people he met with spoke of the dire consequences of bullying, which often include drug addiction and suicide. He said Will was "absolutely passionate, compassionate, and relaxed."

In the wake of the Orlando massacre, in which 49 people were murdered inside a gay nightclub, William and Kate visited the US Embassy in London and signed a book of condolence.

Both princes William and Harry have said they'd like to make their late mom, Diana, proud. Clearly, "the People's Princess" would have loved seeing her sons rally to help those in need.

It's always wonderful to see Will, Kate, and Harry volunteer their time and lend their support to worthwhile causes, but we'd have to imagine that, as parents, the prince and princess feel the call to help even more acutely.

Hopefully, those who need it most will heed Prince William's words to stand up to bullying and love themselves exactly as they are.
