The 28-year-old singer hadn't gotten very far in her show in Antwerp, Belgium, when she brought up the shooting (clearly the horrible incident was weighing heavily on the star's mind).

"I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando and at Pulse nightclub last night," she said, before starting to choke up.

"The LGBTQ community, they're like my soul mates since I was really young so I'm very moved by it."

Oh Adele! We're right there with you. It's just so hard to think about what happened in Orlando without getting emotional -- and it's so hard not to think about it. And still, somehow life must go on. That's why the way Adele handled the whole thing was pretty much perfect: Her genuine, heartfelt sorrow and love and hope managed to bridge the gap between honoring the victims and attempting to move on in a way that felt right and respectful. Adele didn't say much, but she didn't need to -- her face said it all.

It said, of course, that Adele is heartbroken. Just like the rest of us. But it also said that those people who lost their lives will never be forgotten, and will always be loved.
