Prince William and Kate Middleton bestowed that honor upon the Seychelles, an archipelago of islands located in the Indian Ocean, off the East Africa coast. The royal couple rented the North Island in the Seychelles, an idyllic hideaway with white sand beaches nestled inside granite peaks.

    Honeymooners Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden eschewed an island getaway in favor of a mountainside retreat. After tying the knot during an intimate ceremony in January 2015, the lovebirds headed to the Shooting Star Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The resort features cozy cabins and lodges with breathtaking views of the Teton Mountain Range. In the winter, guests can snowboard, ski, ice skate, go on a dogsled ride, or relax at the resort's spa.

    Days after marrying TV executive José Antonio Bastón in Mexico, Eva Longoria jetted off to an exotic honeymoon in Cambodia. Though the Telenovela star never fully disclosed her whereabouts, she gave fans a big clue with a selfie posted on Instagram on May 9. In the pic, Longoria jumped for joy in front of the Ta Prohm temple ruins in Angkor, Cambodia. Banyan trees grow over and through some of the buildings, which were constructed in the 12th and 13th centuries.

    Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth went on a multi-stop honeymoon after exchanging vows in March 2011. They first jetted off to Belize, then headed to Europe, touching down on the City of Lights before traipsing to the picturesque village of Positano, Italy. Located on the Amalfi Coast, Positano features colorful houses, cafes, and boutiques that seem to cascade down a steep hill leading to the ocean. The newlyweds stayed at the Le Siraneuse hotel and feasted on pasta and seafood at local eateries La Caravella and Bruno.

    A Pacific paradise beckoned honeymooners Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. In June 2006, the Aussie newlyweds checked in at the 100-villa St. Regis Bora Bora resort, which features a number of gorgeous villas suspended over the island's crystalline lagoon. Kidman and Urban opted for the Royal Estate, a 9000-square-foot compound enclosed by coral walls on three sides and featuring its own private beach.

The lodge offers guided safaris, during which guests can admire such magnificent creatures as cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, leopards, lions, zebras, and wildebeests. Each cottage, meanwhile, has its own infinity pool, which seems to stretch out into the wilderness.

The resort features stunning views of Camelback Mountain's red sandstone formations, large boulders, and saguaro cacti. Guests can experience the outdoors on a scenic hike, splash around in their own private infinity-edge pool, or relax at the in-house spa.

"Thank you Trancoso for being the most magical lil place to 'honey our moon,'" Solange captioned an Instagram photo showcasing the colorful casita where they were lodging during the romantic getaway. The couple stayed at UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa, a resort village built by former Diesel creative director Wilbert Das consisting of nine small houses — most with outdoor gardens and private pools. Each casa's furniture, textiles, fixtures, and décor were handmade by local artisans.
