Carrie Underwood
What's pretty, yellow, and shiny all over? Carrie Underwood's engagement ring, of course! Designed by jeweler Johnathon Arndt — with the input of Underwood's now-husband, hockey player Mike Fisher — the 12-carat ring features a yellow diamond at its center with a halo of white diamonds.
Blake Lively
"My most treasured possession is my engagement ring, made by my dear friend Lorraine Schwartz, because of the love and meaning it symbolizes," Blake Lively told British Vogue. Ryan Reynolds popped the question with a delicate and demure ring featuring an oval-cut pink diamond — his way of saying "XOXO" to the Gossip Girl star.
Fergie
When you've got a song named "Glamorous," chances are you want a pretty extravagant bauble. Fergie's husband Josh Duhamel knew he had to find a unique piece for his trendsetting lady, so he commissioned H. Stern to design the one-of-a-kind engagement ring. The stunning design features a wide 18k noble gold band with a 4-carat, brilliant-cut diamond nestled inside an etched starburst pattern that is, in turn, accentuated with cognac diamonds.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga wears her heart on her sleeve — and her ring finger. The pop icon and Golden Globe–winning actress, who is engaged to Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney, sports a heart-shaped diamond engagement ring from Lorraine Schwartz.

Reese Witherspoon
Colored stones are one way to make an engagement ring stand out, but a classic diamond with a unique cut can also turn heads. Reese Witherspoon's husband Jim Toth went with the latter, proposing to the Southern belle in December 2010 with a 4-carat Ashoka-cut diamond ring atop a pavé diamond-and-platinum band. The gorgeous bauble was created by jeweler William Goldberg.
Jessica Simpson
In November 2010, former NFL player Eric Johnson asked for Jessica Simpson's hand in marriage with a special ring featuring the Leo singer and fashion designer's birth stone: a ruby. Designed by Neil Lane, the ring features a 5-carat ruby flanked by two pear-shaped diamonds.
Halle Berry
When Olivier Martinez proposed to Halle Berry in January 2012, he sought out Parisian jeweler Robert Mazlo to design a one-of-a-kind ring. Together, they decided upon a 4-carat emerald center stone unearthed from now-closed mines in Muzo, Colombia. Set in yellow gold, the emerald is also accompanied by two diamonds.
Kate Middleton
Heirloom engagement rings tend to have personal meaning, making them feel all the more special. Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with his mother's sapphire-and-diamond ring precisely because of the bauble's sentimental value. The ring once worn by Princess Diana and now the Duchess of Cambridge was created by Garrard Jewelers and features an 18-carat oval sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds set in 18k white gold.

Jenny McCarthy
There's nothing mellow about Jenny McCarthy's yellow sapphire engagement ring! Before popping the question in April 2014, McCarthy's now-husband, Blue Bloods star Donnie Wahlberg, worked with Daniel Arik of Happy Jewelers to create a one-of-a-kind ring. Knowing his bride-to-be preferred a colored stone over a diamond, he opted for a design with a 10-carat yellow sapphire surrounded by two carats of diamonds.
Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde's green eyes inspired the vintage engagement ring selected by fiancé Jason Sudeikis: a round diamond with a halo of emeralds. "It went through Paris around 1921," Wilde told Lucky magazine of the antique ring. "I love imagining the story of this ring. Who had it? It's a bit of an aqua emerald, not a deep dark green. Jason said it reminded him of my eyes, which is very sweet."
Ashlee Simpson
Evan Ross proposed to Ashlee Simpson with a navette-shaped Neil Lane ring featuring a 5-carat, marquise-cut, center diamond surrounded by rubies and 140 small white diamonds. The ring's elongated shape and pointed ends were meant to evoke an Edwardian feel, while the vibrant rubies were designed to add a fun Art Deco element.
Eva Longoria
TV executive José Antonio Bastón went with the color of passion when picking out Eva Longoria's engagement ring. When he proposed to the Desperate Housewives star during a trip to Dubai in December 2015, he presented her with a ruby ring encircled by diamonds.

Scarlett Johansson
Journalist Romain Dauriac chose an art deco–inspired engagement ring for fiancée Scarlett Johansson. The distinctive ring features a 1.02-carat cushion-cut diamond at its center and two smaller round diamonds above and below it. The three main rocks are then surrounded by numerous smaller accent stones that cover the intricate rectangular setting.
Johanna Braddy
Their union on Lifetime's UnREAL may be a total farce, but off screen, the romance between co-stars Johanna Braddy and Freddie Stroma is very real. Stroma popped the question in May 2016 with a Kate Middleton–inspired rock featuring an oval sapphire surrounded by a rectangular halo and two diamonds on either side.
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey's love of butterflies, the color pink, and Hello Kitty trinkets is well documented. So, when Nick Cannon asked for Mariah's hand in marriage, he did so with a pink diamond ring, of course! Reportedly worth $2.5 million, the Jacob & Co. bauble features a 17-carat, emerald-cut pink diamond surrounded by 58 pink diamonds and also boasts two half-moon diamonds on either side. Extravagant? Not when you're Mimi!

Kelly Clarkson
In November 2011, Kelly Clarkson joked to Ellen DeGeneres that her then-boyfriend, talent manager Brandon Blackstock, had to "put a ring on [it] at some point." The mammoth yellow stone, which is surrounded by white diamonds, is estimated to weigh upwards of 5 carats.
