When you've got a song named "Glamorous," chances are you want a pretty extravagant bauble. The stunning design features a wide 18k noble gold band with a 4-carat, brilliant-cut diamond nestled inside an etched starburst pattern that is, in turn, accentuated with cognac diamonds.

Colored stones are one way to make an engagement ring stand out, but a classic diamond with a unique cut can also turn heads. Reese Witherspoon's husband Jim Toth went with the latter, proposing to the Southern belle in December 2010 with a 4-carat Ashoka-cut diamond ring atop a pavé diamond-and-platinum band. The gorgeous bauble was created by jeweler William Goldberg.

Heirloom engagement rings tend to have personal meaning, making them feel all the more special. 10Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde's green eyes inspired the vintage engagement ring selected by fiancé Jason Sudeikis: a round diamond with a halo of emeralds. "It went through Paris around 1921," Wilde told Lucky magazine of the antique ring. "I love imagining the story of this ring. Who had it? It's a bit of an aqua emerald, not a deep dark green. Jason said it reminded him of my eyes, which is very sweet."
