15 LGBT Celebrities Who Give Us Cute Family Inspo
In the grand scheme of the entire universe and the institution of marriage, it really hasn't been that long since judges, ministers, notaries, etc. starting giving same-sex marriage a thumbs-up. And despite all the love we have for the Brangelinas and Bey-Zs out there, we're very much glad we have more badass LGBT families front and center to obsess over.
It's hard to even count all the amazing fams hogging the spotlight right now, but here are our faves -- they're all major inspirations, and we'd be very, VERY happy to be adopted by any one of them. If they're listening. And if they'll have us. Just so they know.

Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka bonded on the set of How I Met Your Mother, and their relationship is the reason Neil came out to the public. Their two kids, Gideon and Harper, were born via surrogate in 2010, and Neil and David were married in 2014. They consistently have the best/cutest/most perfect family Halloween costumes in all of history, and WE LOVE THEM. That's all.
Jillian Michaels
Heidi Rhoades and Jillian Michaels are most likely the healthiest couple in Hollywood, and they also win the award for the freakin' cutest proposal ever. They've been dating since 2009, and they have two kids -- one that Heidi gave birth to, and one that's adopted.
Cynthia Nixon
Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni are the kind of couple that's painful to look at because they're so spectacularly beautiful. Cynthia had two children with her previous husband, and Christine gave birth to a son in 2011. After a three-year engagement, the five of them came together when Cynthia and Christine finally married in 2012.
Elton John
Elton John and David Furnish started dating in 1993, and in 2005, they were one of the first couples to form a civil union under a brand-new UK law. They married officially in 2014, but their first son, Jackson, was born via surrogate in 2010. Elijah was born in 2013, cementing them as one of our fave celeb families of all time.
Rosie O'Donnell
Show us a mom who loves her kids harder than Rosie O'Donnell loves her brood. She and her ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, have five kids ranging from 20 to 33 -- and despite the public drama surrounding her relationship with her daughter, Chelsea, it only takes one look at Rosie's Instagram to see the enormous love she has for her family.
Jodie Foster
Jodie Foster has cited her two sons, Charlie and Kit, as the reason she takes on fewer projects now -- she says it's a sacrifice to leave home, and with a family as beautiful as hers, we can't blame her. She married actress and photographer Alexandra Hedison in 2014, and the whole fam lives in Los Angeles.
Dan Savage
Sex and relationship guru and general media dude Dan Savage married his husband, Terry Miller, in 2005. The two have two babies: One being an 18-year-old son named D.J., and the other being the amazing It Gets Better Project, which they founded to help gay young people deal with bullying.
Denis O'Hare
He's famous for his roles on American Horror Story and True Blood, but we would like to formally submit that actor Denis O'Hare be famous for his perfect family instead. He married Hugo Redwood in 2011, and the two adopted their son, Declan, in 2012 after fostering him since he was 2 weeks old.
Perez Hilton
Perez Hilton (aka Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr.) spends a lot of time yelling on the Internet, but outside of that, he's a doting dad of two. His son, Mario III, 3, and his daughter, Mia, 1, were both born via surrogate and are being raised in New York by Perez and his mom.
