Joy-Anna Duggar Harshly Judged for Wearing Too Much Makeup

The Duggar family gets a lot of flack for being so socially conservative, so this recent criticism of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's daughter just goes to show that sometimes you can't do anything right. Eighteen-year-old Joy-Anna Duggar was called out for wearing too much makeup this week, after the family posted a sweet photo of her to their Facebook page.

The family updated the cover photo on their Facebook page a few days ago to a selfie of Joy-Anna and two of her younger sisters, Jennifer and Josie. Totally normal, right?

Except that some of the commenters were not fans of Joy-Anna's makeup, specifically her eyeliner. Because apparently teenagers aren't supposed to emphasize their eyes?

One person wrote, "I'm sorry, but the older girls wear way too much eye liner. Their eyes are more beautiful with less." That's a matter of opinion, but whatever.

"I love this family and these girls are beautiful but some of the people on here are right, they definitely need to wear less eyeliner. All the older girls have some weird obsession with their heavy eyeliners," wrote another.

You know, for being raised by people who have been criticized heavily for not letting their kids grow up and experience anything "normal" that the world has to offer, you'd think Joy-Anna, Jinger, Jill, Jessa, and Jana would be praised for playing with makeup a bit.

Just a thought.
