Picture-perfect! Five years after she became an official member of the royal family -- and captured the hearts of everyone in Britain and the world over -- Kate Middleton is gracing the cover of British Vogue. And the photos, needless to say, are absolutely breathtaking.

Wearing a green fedora and brown suede jacket, the duchess posed for photog Josh Olins, celebrating British Vogue's centenary issue. Despite the fact that the future queen has appeared on the covers for countless Us Weeklys and tabloids all over the world, this marks the first official magazine cover for HRH.

No words. This is an iconic photo if there ever was one. The duchess looks as fresh-faced as ever, but more so, she looks so relaxed and confident. Absolutely gorgeous.

Gorgeous. These photos of the duchess could be her best yet. Her wedding photos of course were beautiful, but she looks so much more regal and like she's come into her own in these shots. Simply stunning.

The photos are part of a collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery, an organization Kate supports, and two of the photos are appearing in an exhibition honoring 100 years of the magazine. A spokesperson for Kate said, "British Vogue has given a platform to some of the most renowned photographers in this country’s history. The Duchess is incredibly grateful to the team at British Vogue and the National Portrait Gallery for asking her to take part."

The photo shoot took place in January in Norfolk, where William and Kate have a country home, and according to sources, Kate felt very relaxed being outside and away from the hustle and bustle. Even though the duchess hadn't posed for a magazine before, Olins said that Kate was incredible natural and "a joy to work with."

Needless to say, this was a big moment for Kate, but, most likely, an even bigger moment for Vogue. It may have taken her five years after getting married to agree to a cover, but as we can all see, it was totally worth the wait. Beautiful.
