16 Celebrities Reveal Their Tattoo Regrets
While there are now some ways to have tattoos removed, they're still a major decision designed to be permanent. For a lot of people, getting a tattoo starts out sounding like a fun idea (especially if you'd had a bit too much to drink one night), but eventually these folks come to regret the ink they once loved. As these 16 stars prove, even celebrities aren't immune to that feeling.
Whether it was regret over tattooing a former lover's name or something else, these celebrities have publicly stated their regret over their tattoos. Which celeb tat do you think you'd have removed?

Demi Lovato
Almost immediately after Demi Lovato got a "spur of the moment" tattoo of her friend's lips on her arm, she regretted it. Shortly after the ink job, she got it covered up with a tattoo of a rose instead.
Megan Fox
Megan Fox's Marilyn Monroe tattoo came to mean different things for the actress. While she initially got the tattoo because she looks up to the screen siren, Fox eventually got the tat lasered off, wanting to distance herself from some of the more negative aspects of Monroe's life.
Heidi Klum
Supermodel Heidi Klum's tattoo was a commemoration of her vow renewal with her ex-husband Seal in 2008. Upon divorcing after nine years of marriage, Klum decided to erase the ink.
50 Cent
Throughout his music career, this rapper collected no lack of ink — but as he stepped into the film industry, he realized that covering them up could be a pain. 50 Cent started removing tattoos in 2010 for his role in the movie Twelve, for convenience.

Hayden Panettiere
While Hayden Panettiere might not have disputed the meaning of her tattoo — it meant "live without regrets" in Italian — she eventually got it lasered in 2013 because, well, it had a spelling mistake. Panettiere's tattoo read “vivere senza rimpianti” instead of “vivere senza rimipianti.”
Adam Levine
This Voice judge may have many tattoos, but he doesn't love all of them. Adam Levine has said the tattoo on his right shoulder looks like a "cauliflower with a sun in the middle of it," when really, it's supposed to be a Russian prisoner–inspired tat that he tried to improve.
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie's relationship with Billy Bob Thornton was passionate, leading Angelina to get a tattoo reading "Billy Bob." The humanitarian actress eventually had it removed and replaced with a tattoo of the coordinates of her six children's birth places.

Pharrell
While this "Happy" singer may not regret all of his many tattoos, he is remorseful about the rate at which he got them. "I was just young and dumb," he told Complex. Kelly Osbourne
This former Fashion Police star had some regrets about her ink. Kelly Osborne removed most of her tattoos in 2010. "I was miserable and I just went and got all these tattoos and I don't know why," she explained. "One of them is a keyboard and I don't even know how to play a piano!"
Blake Shelton
Another Voice judge, another regret. Blake Shelton's tattoo of deer tracks was intended to show off his love of hunting, but most people think it's a tattoo of ladybugs.
Melanie Griffith

Kaley Cuoco
This Big Bang Theory actress surprised fans when she got engaged after just three months of dating, and eventually got a tattoo of her wedding date to Ryan Sweeting. When they broke up, she got it replaced with an image of a butterfly — and reminded fans of the dangers of getting wedding-related tattoos. Justin Bieber
This "Sorry" singer seems to have transformed his image quickly from teenie bopper singer to mature pop star — and in the process, he got tons of ink. However, the tattoo of a woman on Bieber's wrist, who he says is supposed to be his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, is the only one he regrets.
Nicole Richie
Reality star Nicole Richie has several ink regrets. Not only does she bemoan her choice to get a neck tattoo with her last name "Ritchie," but she's also looked into removing the "tramp stamp" she got as a teenager.
Eva Longoria
This Telenovela actress stands alongside the many celebrities who have regretted tattoos in honor of their spouses. Longoria removed three tattoos dedicated to her ex-husband, Tony Parker, whom she married in 2007 and divorced in 2011, after allegations of Tony Parker's cheating came out.
