Jinger Duggar Called Out for Putting Nephew Michael's Life in Danger

This girl cannot catch a break lately! On the heels of being accused of faking a scene on Jill and Jessa: Counting On, Jinger Duggar was just raked over the coals for potentially putting her nephew Michael's life in danger.

The Duggar family posted a photo to their official Facebook page of Josh and Anna's 4-year-old son Michael taking a nap in the car ... and from the looks of things, the little guy was not restrained properly at all. They captioned the pic, "Look at this photo Jinger sent us! Seems like her little shopping buddy needed some rest!"

Seems like somebody might need a lesson in car seat safety -- not to mention Arkansas law. Child restraint laws in the Duggars' home state require kiddos under the age of 5, or under 60 pounds, to be seated in a federally approved car seat or booster.

Commenters were quick to point out the faux pas, writing that the little guy should at least be in a booster with a back, if not a seat with a five-point harness. Although the blanket covers what could be a booster, concerned fans also noticed that the shoulder belt was behind him, not properly across his torso.

Of course it's possible that Jinger took the snap when the car wasn't in motion, but as one person made the point, "She probably wasn't driving when the photo was taken but had to have been driving with him in that position. Doubtful she would pull over, park, move his seatbelt behind him, let him finish his nap, snap a photo and go home."

We definitely want to give Jinger the benefit of doubt here, but when it comes to car seat safety, we don't want to mess around. Hopefully this is a wake-up call to the Duggars and anyone else watching to make sure your precious kids are safely buckled into the car.
