Princess Charlotte Is So Important She's Getting a Flower Named After Her

Princess Charlotte has flower named for herWhile most little girls have dolls or stuffed toys, when you're a princess, you receive something a bit more regal. A baby pink chrysanthemum named for Princess Charlotte will be on view at the Chelsea Flower Show, just in time for the darling royal's first birthday.

With all the gorgeous blossoms in the world, how did it come to be that this flower in particular was chosen? Well, a bouquet of these soft and feminine blooms were delivered to Princess Kate and Prince William shortly after Charlotte's birth as a gift from the Dutch company Deliflor.

Now others can enjoy the pretty posies, as Waitrose Florist in London will stock this flower, and sales will help raise funds for East Anglia's Children's Hospices, where the Duchess of Cambridge is a patron. What a lovely gesture!

The pint-sized princess isn't the only one in the family to have her very own flower. It turns out her big brother had the Georgie Boy daffodil named for him in 2014. Just another perk of being born into the royal family!

We wonder if we can expect to see Charlotte photographed with her namesake? Let's hope so!
