Jill & Jessa Duggar's Days on 'Counting On' Might Be Numbered

Uh-oh. Things aren't looking too great for Jill and Jessa Duggar, as even more advertisers pulled out of their spin-off show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On. After the show premiered, a number of companies asked TLC not to air their commercials during the 19 Kids and Counting spin-off, and several more joined them this week.

The companies issued statements saying that they had not intended for their ads to play during the show, but that they had purchased bundled packages for TLC to play at various times. They have requested that the network refrain from scheduling them during Counting On.

The latest companies boycotting the reality show include Wrigley, Ring.com, Combe Inc. (they manufacture Vagisil, FYI), Credit Karma, and a few others. Wrigley even made a public statement after their Skittles ad was run during the show, saying, "It is never our intent to endorse content that could offend our consumers." They added that "any ads" aired during "shows featuring the Duggar family" were an "error."

Does anyone else think that it's sad that companies are actively refusing to endorse Jill and Jessa Duggar and their siblings at this point? Yes, we know that their big brother Josh has made some terrible decisions. He molested four of his sisters and an underage babysitter when he was a teenager, and he confessed last August that he had been unfaithful to his beautiful wife Anna and their four kids.

Even before the adultery scandal hit the news, TLC had canceled 19 Kids and Counting. I think it's pretty clear that the network doesn't endorse Josh ... especially since it's been made clear that he will not appear on the new show, even though Anna has been on it.

It's a shame that advertisers are pulling their commercials from Jill and Jessa's show. These ladies have done absolutely nothing wrong, and they don't deserve it. I'd hate to see them lose their audience and their livelihood just because their brother was a jerk.

They deserve better than that.
