In both the original film and the sequel, Gomez played Mike, the best friend of leading man Ian Miller (John Corbett). Most recently, the spouses co-hosted 2015's The Great Holiday Baking Show on ABC. The key to their collaborative success seems to be their shared sense of humor. "I don't like to work with Ian because of his drinking problem and the blackouts," Vardalos joked in 2011 about guest starring on Gomez's show Cougar Town. "And I don't like to work with Nia because of her breath," Gomez quipped. Clearly, they're two peas in a pod!
