Adam Levine Adds to His Body Art With a Major Must-See Tattoo (PHOTO)

He's no stranger to tattoos, and now he has a full back panel as the crowning glory of his collection (so far). Adam Levine recently showed off his completed back tattoo, which took six months to complete. Talk about dedication!

"6 months in the making," the Maroon 5 frontman captioned the pic he posted to Instagram. He added a credit to the incredible artist who created it for him: "Thanks @bryanrandolph for absolutely blowing my mind with this one! Woooo hooooo!!!!"

The artist, Bryan Randolph, has worked with Levine before on some of his other pieces. His latest work of art includes a winged mermaid cradling a skull in her arms in an ocean scene including a sun, a ship, and a ship's wheel. It also includes six swallows outside the border of the sea-themed masterpiece, aligning with his ribs.

We're not sure if the symbols in the tattoo have any particular meaning, since Levine has shared that some of his pieces in the past were personal while others were just because he liked the design. One thing is for sure, though: This is a a gorgeous tattoo, and given how long it took, we're glad he seems to love it too.
