prince harry invictusAs the Invictus Games are getting closer, Prince Harry continues to show his support of the event he founded for veterans and active service members who are wounded, ill, and injured. His dedication inspires the athletes as much as they inspire him.

Invictus is making its way Stateside for its third year -- the Games are set for May 8–12 in Orlando. Within those five days of competition, there is archery, indoor rowing, powerlifting, road cycling, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair tennis. Over 500 competitors from all over the world will compete. And it seems these Games are growing in popularity, which is absolutely amazing. They will have their very first celebrity ambassador, Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins. It's an honor to have these Games hosted in America -- anything to offer more support for this incredible endeavor.

Many involved have said that this competition and the training that goes into it helps in so many ways beyond the physical. Retired Army Captain Will Reynolds lost his left leg in an explosion while serving in Iraq -- he won four medals for track in 2014 and is training to compete again. Of Prince Harry, he told People, "We are his community." Reynolds went on to say how Harry is so involved and doesn't care how sweaty any of the athletes are -- he gets right in the huddle to congratulate everyone. See? Harry is just the coolest, down-to-earth kind of person who is clearly all in when it comes to his brothers and sisters who served.

What a great source of motivation and support for the wounded warriors. We have so much respect for Prince Harry, who has made veterans issues one of his main causes.
