Memories of Princess Diana Will Come Flooding Back After Seeing Her Gorgeous Gowns (PHOTOS)

princess dianaA new exhibit is set to really show off the evolving and influential style of the royals, with a gorgeous display of dresses Princess Diana wore. The dazzling exhibit is called Fashion Rules and also features some beauties from Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret.

Fashion Rules is set up at Kensington Palace and opens February 11, just in time for Valentine's Day. Those lucky enough to visit the exhibit can indulge in their own royal fantasies of what it would be like to wear one of these gowns. Oh to dream!

Royal watchers may recall that this fashion display had a run before, but was quiet for a bit. It is now back, bigger and better than ever. This showing includes gowns by Bruce Oldfield and Catherine Walker, two of Princess Diana's favorites, as well as her black velvet Balmoral gown and the green dress with the double-breasted top that Diana wore when she posed for Mario Testino. Beautiful. So it's a real treat for those of us who loved Diana. Princess Margaret, too, of course. And our lovely queen.

We also get to see all the ways these styles influenced everyone -- from fashion designers to Princess Kate Middleton. Kate's dresses aren't a part of this exhibit, though I would guess that her items will be included in the future. But not that soon, because Kate loves to recycle her dresses -- we can't have them hung up in a display just yet.
