All the Sweet Details of Prince George's First Day of Nursery School

prince georgeWhen Prince George started nursery school at Westacre Montessori last week, the photo of him with his backpack was nearly too cute to handle. We wondered just what was in there, and how did George's first day go? Now we know.

Knowing how on top of things Kate is, of course George had all the necessary items in his bag.

While George's time at the school is only a few hours a day, the kids need a change of clothes (just in case), a snack that isn't loaded with sugar (I bet it was organic), and a toy from home so the transition is a little easier. George seems like a social lad -- he's sort of used to the public eye and people smiling and waving at him -- so as expected, he did wonderfully on that first day. He's still going, so that's a good sign.

Upon arriving that very first time, the little prince met his teachers and had time to get to know and play with all his new friends. There is a set schedule at the school and George isn't getting any "royal" treatment -- he's part of the class just like the rest.

This particular school George is attending is a Montessori school, so he will be interacting with kids a little younger and a little older than he is. The kids all learn through play, interaction, and experimentation.

I'm glad to hear that first day went well. What an exciting time for the royal lad and the whole family. I'm already looking forward to graduation day, if only for a photo of George in a cap!
