Kate Middleton Had a Very Busy Birthday Weekend

kate middletonFamily, family, and more family -- that's one way to describe Kate Middleton's birthday weekend. Turning 34 meant a mix of business and pleasure for the princess, and naturally a visit from her sister, Pippa.

Kate's actual birthday was on Saturday, and it was said that she was celebrating privately. I would image that Will had a cake for her, possibly some flowers, and a lovely gift wrapped with light blue ribbon -- her favorite color. Maybe they sang a sweet little happy birthday song with the kids, Prince George joining in and Princess Charlotte with a gummy smile and baby claps. Consider this my official request for Kate to share some photos of that.

But on Sunday ... it was a PARTY! Well, not exactly. But Kate sure was busy with a ton of family. She even had to do some royal business. Leaving the kids with a sitter, Will and Kate were at church in Sandringham for an event -- it was the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli WWII campaign. Everyone was there -- Kate's parents, her sister Pippa and brother James, and Princess Charlotte's godparents, James Meade and Sophie Carter. Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth were also there, and Kate gave her a lovely curtsy.

But what did they give her? Were there gifts? Was there a little tea party celebration afterward to welcome Kate into her 34th year? I would imagine that her mum had a lovely little something for her, and Pippa (who just returned from a trip to St. Barts) maybe had a prezzie from the island for her sis.

Kate even wore the very same Michael Kors dress suit that she had on for her church visit just after Christmas. Love her seemingly no-fuss style. Well, no fuss for a princess.
