Amy Duggar Uses Her Blog to Bash Cousin Josh for Living a 'Double Life'

She's keeping it real! Amy (Duggar) King recently sounded off about her cousin Josh on her blog, and unlike the rest of her famous family, she isn't mincing words. The 19 Kids and Counting star let Josh have it, going as far as calling him a "fraud."

The newlywed did a year-in-review post about 2015, and wow, was it a rough one. Amy acknowledged the tumultuous year, calling it an "emotional roller coaster," and detailing "many highs and so, so many lows."

Those incredibly low lows of course being Josh Duggar's multiple sex scandals. In May, a 2006 police report was leaked detailing molestation charges against Josh from years earlier. When he was a young teen, he confessed to molesting five underage girls, four of whom were his own sisters.

Then, this past August, the Ashley Madison hack revealed that Josh had two accounts on the notorious cheater site. He confessed to cheating on Anna and being addicted to porn, and immediately checked himself into a faith-based rehab center.

Meanwhile, Amy was trying to plan a wedding in just two months. Her boyfriend Dillon proposed in July, and the ceremony took place in the beginning of September. She wrote, "Life was just wonderful ... drum roll please ... until one of my family members made some terrible confessions." She added, "I knew nothing of the molestation charges."

Dillon King's wife confirmed that the whole family was just as shocked as the rest of the world. She said, "The only difference was I was being fitted for my wedding dress with tears running down my face and a glass of wine in my hand as the news broke."

After a "million questions" went through her head, she got angry. "Rage came over me, sadness crept in, and reality sat in that the person I had known my entire life turned out to be a fraud, and a complete stranger," she confessed. "I've always heard that there were people in this world that lived a double life, but I never thought that someone so close to home would be living a lie."

Whenever this sort of devastating scandal happens, you always hear people say they never thought it could happen to them. It goes to show that even when people put on a face, you never know what's lurking beneath the surface.

Good for Amy for calling it like it is with Josh. He didn't make a mistake -- he had a complete other life that no one knew anything about. Talk about having split personalities. It isn't just about the sex, it's also the total betrayal of lying and covering up and letting his family support him during the molestation scandal when he knew there were other terrible things to come.

Amy's not ready to let Josh keep her down though. She ended her post with a New Year's resolution to "let go" of what she can't control. She shared, "I've recently been trying to stay positive and embrace the changes that are happening all around me." That's good advice for all of us.
