Kristen Stewart's Advice for 'Star Wars' Star Daisy Ridley Is Good for All of Us

Say what you will about her, but there's no doubt that Kristen Stewart knows what she's talking about giving Hollywood advice. On a recent podcast, Stewart shared some wisdom about the limelight for newcomer Daisy Ridley, who stars in the latest edition of the multimillion-dollar Star Wars franchise.

She may only be 25, but Stewart shot straight to stardom when she appeared in the first Twilight movie as a teenager. She went from relative obscurity to all of a sudden being on the cover of every magazine, having her love life scrutinized, and basically everything that comes with being the "it girl" of the moment.

Now that Ridley has stunned audiences with her character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there's a good chance her career is about to skyrocket too.

KStew did an interview with The Hollywood Reporter's "Awards Chatter" and offered some great advice not just for Daisy, but for the rest of us too.

"I did Twilight when I was 17. It came out when I was 18, and my life was never even remotely the same," she explained, continuing, "Focus on the fact that you're stoked, 'cause you're doing the work that you want to do. It's literally mainly just about focusing on what makes you happy. And if losing your anonymity or whatever doesn't make you happy, then focus on something else."

Now that's just plain smart. If you're not loving what you do on a day-to-day basis, the only thing stopping you from doing what you want is yourself. It's okay to like different things at different points in your life. People change. Our dreams and ideas about life do and should shift as we grow older.

Kristen is wise to know that at 25 -- it's a reminder we all need to hear.
