'RHONJ' Star Teresa Giudice Is Released From Prison -- Just in Time for Christmas

After spending almost a year behind bars, Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice was released from prison on Wednesday morning. The big day couldn't come soon enough, as now the mother of four will be home in time for Christmas.

Teresa, who was sentenced to 15 months in jail after being found guilty of fraud charges in 2014, was released from the Federal Correction Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, at 5:01 AM. She had entered the facility on January 5 of this year, so it has been a long, hard road to get to this point.

We have to wonder what Teresa's first days back at home will be like, and how the Giudice clan will celebrate now that they have their matriarch back home. We have a feeling this family will go big, as per usual.

Just a couple of months ago Bravo aired a special about how the Giudice girls -- Gia, Milania, Gabriella, and Audriana -- and her husband Joe were faring without having Teresa at home. It was pretty heartbreaking to watch, particularly the scenes focusing on Gia, who clearly was hit by her mom's absence the hardest but put on a brave face.

Say what you want about Teresa's wrongdoings, but we're thrilled she was able to get home in time for the holiday, if not just for her own peace of mind but for that of her daughters'. She has served her time and surely learned something from the experience over the past year. Now hopefully she can move on and be a better person for it.
