But they're also good for some drama — and 2015 had plenty of that, as many of our favorite celebs pitted themselves against one another on the public stage.

These 18 celebrity feuds were the biggest of the year, whether they were solved amicably or not.

When Miley Cyrus criticized Nicki Minaj's upset that she hadn't been nominated for Video of the Year at the VMAs, Minaj took offense —especially since the pop star had called her "not very nice." While presenting an award at the show, Minaj threw shade with three simple words, "Miley, what's good?"

This former One Direction singer insulted Harris' girlfriend, Taylor Swift, after she performed with Little Mix (a girl band that includes his ex, Perrie Edwards). He also tweeted a comparison of her and Miley Cyrus that suggested Swift was selfish for not putting her money on Spotify, and Harris jumped to defend his girl. The beef wasn't quite settled, but Harris eventually conceded, "Best of luck, genuinely. You've got a great voice."

Taylor Swift unintentionally got involved in Nicki Minaj's Twitter rant about not being nominated for Video of the Year by assuming that the rapper was angry at Swift specifically. But when she realized that Minaj was simply pointing out discrimination in the music industry, she backed off and they publicly displayed their apology with a performance at the VMAs.

As a result, she became embattled in some Twitter beef with Khloé Kardashian, who stood up for her younger sister, tweeting, "'I was a stripper since I was 15 years old,'” Amber Rose told Foxx. Please don't worry about my sister who has a career & her shit."

Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video made major headlines this year —not just because it won Video of the Year, but because Swift had said it was about a lost friend, prompting many to believe the song was about Katy Perry. Perry showed her disdain by jumping into Nicki Minaj and Swift's Twitter feud, after tweeting in 2014 to "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing." Swift revealed a couple months ago that "Bad Blood" isn't about one person, but the two pop stars still don't appear to be friends.

Kylie Jenner has been accused of cultural appropriation more than once. Amandla Stenberg commented on an Instagram of Jenner with cornrows, "When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter." But Jenner didn't quite understand the problem, and responded, telling Stenberg to hang out with her prom date Jaden Smith, "Mad if I don’t, Mad if I do…. Go hang w Jaden or something."

When actor Richard Madden criticized the way Cara Delevingne handled an interview for Paper Towns, Delevingne wasted no time in shooting back, "I have no idea who you are but I think it's little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don't know." Madden, however, didn't want the drama to continue, so he apologized: "Hi @Caradelevingne, nothing but respect for you. Misquoted and blown out of proportion. #SlowNewsWeek."

Osbourne opened up about Rancic in August, saying, "I will never admit to liking Giuliana because I don’t. I don’t think she’s a good person and I think she’s a liar."
