Beyonce Reportedly Starring in Major Movie Musical Remake

beyonceHuge news for Beyonce fans (so, you know, huge news for everybody): The 34-year-old pop culture phenomenon is reportedly signing on to star in a remake of the classic film A Star is Born, directed by none other than Bradley Cooper!

Guess that explains why Bey's been taking acting lessons, huh? According to Page Six, she's been looking for "an iconic dramatic role" for a while, and she was originally interested in the role way back when Clint Eastwood was attached to the project as director (he's since dropped out).

"Insiders" say filming won't start until at least the end of next year, or possibly even January 2017, as Cooper has yet to find the right actors to round out the cast. The 1954 version starred Judy Garland and James Mason, while the 1976 remake starred Kris Kristofferson and Barbara Streisand. Whoever ends up in the film, we're sure Beyonce will be perfect as an aspiring performer about to be catapulted into stardom. I mean, aren't you already excited for her version of this tune? Take it away, Judy!
